Dr. Prabhat Bhushan

Dr. Prabhat Bhushan (24 Oct 1942- 27 April 2021) was a dynamic leader and the visionary founder of the Balbir Group, a prominent name in India’s steel manufacturing industry. With a career spanning decades of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence, Dr. Bhushan has been instrumental in transforming the group from a modest venture into a leading conglomerate with diversified operations across steel and food processing sectors. The journey of Balbir Group was started by our visionary leader Dr. Prabhat Bhushan, an eye specialist by medical profession. He started Balbir at the peak of his career as an eye specialist, to venture into the Steel Manufacturing business more than three decades ago when very few were into this kind of business. The group operates multiple manufacturing units, including facilities in Silvassa (Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu) and Vapi (Gujarat). Since then under his leadership, the Balbir Group has diversified its product range to include Thermex TMT Bars, MS Angles, MS Channels, MS Beams, MS Billets, and MS Ingots. In addition to steel manufacturing, the group ventured into the food processing industry in 2016 by establishing Shree Balbir Food Product Private Limited in Silvassa. The manufacturing state-of-the-art technology facilities are a testament to the focus on innovation and efficiency. We also ensure precision and consistency in every process. This diversification reflects the group’s strategic expansion under Dr. Bhushan’s guidance. Dr. Bhushan, along with his son, Mr. Vikas Bhushan, have been instrumental in expanding the group’s operations and product offerings. Dr. Bhushan’s leadership style was characterized by his ability to identify opportunities and transform challenges into success stories. His dedication to fostering innovation, empowering teams, and maintaining ethical business practices has earned him and the Balbir Group immense respect within the industry.

Vikas Bhushan, the esteemed Director of Balbir Group, stands as a pillar of innovation and leadership, spearheading both Balbir Rolling Mills and Shree Balbir Food Product. As the son of Dr. Prabhat Bhushan, he carries forward a legacy rooted in excellence and entrepreneurial spirit, while crafting a dynamic and future-ready vision for the group.

In his leadership role at Balbir Rolling Mills, Vikas Bhushan has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and reputation as a leading steel manufacturer. Under his guidance, the group’s state-of-the-art facilities in Silvassa and Vapi have become synonymous with quality and precision, producing ISI-certified Thermex QSR Bars and structural steel products like angles, channels, and beams. The group’s commitment to quality is evident through its ISI certification for Thermex QSR Bars and Structural Steel products, as well as ISO 9001:2008 certification for its rolling division.

At the helm of Shree Balbir Food Product, Vikas Bhushan brings his innovative mindset and strategic expertise to the forefront of the food manufacturing sector. He has successfully established the brand as a leader by integrating advanced technology, ensuring compliance with ISO and FSSAI standards, and delivering products that resonate with consumer trust and satisfaction.
